Summary: Through different initiatives of law, the reform of the Civil and Commercial Procedural Code has been proposed to the Congress of the Republic, by means of which it seeks to speed up the process of knowledge and thus reduce the judicial delay. The initiatives of law, among others, mostly seek the elimination of the various types of knowledge process, leaving only the oral trial as a single general process, eliminating some procedural formalities, and limiting the origin of the appeal. However, prior to implementing these reforms, for an effective change to be achieved that allows the reduction of judicial delay, other changes must be made that allow the implementation of such reforms in an optimal way
