In this context, it is imperative to analyze and discuss the implications of the General Archive Law for the affirmation of the access to public information right, given that archives are the support, precedent and repository that guarantees such right.La Ley General de Archivos se sustenta como un nódulo estratégico en la garantía del derecho de acceso a la información pública y asume sustanciales retos hacia la gestión del patrimonio documental del Estado, así como de los archivos privados de interés público. Su entrada en vigor, el 15 de junio de 2019, se intersecta con una serie de cambios legislativos que pretenden lograr un alcance estructural para la buena gestión gubernamental, entre ellos el Sistema Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información Pública y Protección de Datos Personales y el Sistema Nacional Anticorrupción.
