It can be concluded that the management of the process of financing local development in the province of Pinar del Río is characterized by being asystematic and disjointed, limiting the use of local resources and closing the cycle of local strategic planning. In addition, the existence of territorial planning tools that establish the basis for the management of the financing process is not identified.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo identificar las potencialidades y limitaciones que en materia de gestión del proceso de financiamiento del desarrollo local se evidencia en la provincia de Pinar del Río, utilizando para ello un conjunto de fuentes secundarias y primarias de información, a partir de las necesidades identificadas. Se puede concluir que, la gestión del proceso de financiamiento del desarrollo local en la provincia de Pinar del Río se caracteriza por ser asistémica y desarticulada, limitando el aprovechamiento de recursos locales y el cierre del ciclo de la planificación estratégica local.
