Finally, the document develops an analysis of the Governance policies and regulations that were produced as a reaction to the crisis that affected various companies between 1997 and 2002 in order to understand if they will be effective in a forthcoming crisis.En el desarrollo del estudio del caso de Global Crossing, este documento pretende describir y explicar el concepto y los elementos fundamentales del Gobierno Societario. Asimismo, se intenta hacer una compilación de los errores de Gobierno Societario cometidos por los directivos de dicha empresa y que fueron evidentes en relación con los principios fundamentales, lo cual llevó a la empresa objeto de estudio a entrar en el régimen del Capítulo 11. Se desarrolla un análisis del elemento humano, que fue determinante, para efectos de resaltar los valores que son la base de los principios del Gobierno Societario.
