Summary: By developing the case study of Global Crossing, this document intends to describe and explain the concept and fundamental elements of Corporate Governance. It also attempts to compile the major governance mistakes in relationship with the fundamental principles, which led this company to Chapter 11. An analysis of the human that was determinant is conducted to remark the values underpinning Corporate Governance principles. Finally, the document develops an analysis of the Governance policies and regulations that were produced as a reaction to the crisis that affected various companies between 1997 and 2002 in order to understand if they will be effective in a forthcoming crisis.
