In order to attain the required information, the head researcher and the students resorted to documentary sources. Two methods were used in this research: descriptive and analytic-deductive. The most important conclusions reached were as follows: (1) In Plato�s Dialogues, one can find all that which pedagogues have claimed over the last twenty-five centuries. (2) Education must prepare man since his earliest childhood in order to become a righteous person and a good citizen. (3) When founding the Academy, Plato�s pedagogic purpose was to educate good politicians and rulers.Este artículo estudia los múltiples aportes pedagógicos �psicología evolutiva, el juego y el trabajo como instrumentos de la educación, la educación para beber el vino, etc.� contenidos en los diálogos de Platón. Para obtener la información necesaria, el investigador principal y los estudiantes recurrieron a fuentes documentales. En esta investigación se utilizaron dos métodos: el descriptivo y el analítico-deductivo. Las conclusiones más importantes que se obtuvieron, son: 1ª. En los diálogos de Platón se hallan las ideas básicas de todo lo que han dicho los grandes pedagogos de los últimos veinticinco siglos. 2ª. La educación debe preparar al hombre desde su más tierna infancia para la virtud y para convertirse en un buen ciudadano. 3ª.
