Despite the long process of institutionalization of political science at the national, regional and international levels, it is still a challenge to reflect on and discuss the epistemological frameworks that have erected the discipline, particularly due to its roots in certain currents that have hegemonized the way in which the political science discipline is thought. That is why this article is based on a state of the art on the development of reflection on epistemological frameworks in the political science discipline in Colombia in the 21st century. For this reason, we affirm that the political science discipline in Colombia has erected epistemological frameworks that in some way have been a reflection of North American political science, that is, under the assumptions of positivism and empiricism. Hence, these epistemological frameworks cannot account for the transformation and the complex social reality of the country. We will use the qualitative tradition for our research, because the information collected mostly uses this tradition, in the texts read we only found one article that had a mixed tradition. We will rely on descriptions and critical analyzes that have been made regarding our topic. The second method will be the state of the art because in our research we will address different authors, which we will contrast taking into account patterns of regularity, differentiation and alternative. |
