Summary: HPV is a virus that is transmitted through sexual intercourse, at an early age, with a higher prevalence in women under 25 years of age, however, it should not be dismissed as it can develop cervical cancer in some cases. The methodology used for this research work is framed within a bibliographic review of documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as Human Papilloma Virus and its relationship with cervical cancer. The technique for data collection is made up of electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, among others, relying on the use of descriptors in health sciences or MESH terminology. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. Based on the bibliography consulted and analyzed, if there is a direct relationship between cervical cancer and HPV, however, this does not mean that every woman who suffers from HPV will develop cervical cancer or another pathology. malignant associated with it, and this based on the fact that HPV generally has no symptoms, only in those cases where cytology as a routine test of women who attend a gynecological consultation, certain warts can appear or be detected, which associated with other tests, can confirm the presence of HPV, however, despite the fact that this virus does not have a cure per se, since the body usually resolves it spontaneously between 80 and 90%, it is possible that in those cases where the organism cannot discard it, you have to keep it under control so that it doesn't evolve into something more delicate like cancer.
