Summary: Abstract Objective: To analyze the prosocial tendencies and their relationship with empathy and self-efficacy beliefs for the regulation of affection in adolescents detached from illegal armed groups belonging to the Tutor Substitute Home modality in the city of Manizales, Colombia. Methodology: quantitative, non-experimental design of transversal type; the study was of descriptive-correlational scope. Sample: Non-probabilistic on availability, made up of 35 adolescents detached from armed groups, who are in the rights restoration program in the Tutor Substitute Home modality of the ICBF in Manizales (Caldas, Colombia). Instruments: The prosocial trend scale, revised versión (PTM-R), the interpersonal reactivity index (IRI) and the self-efficacy for affect regulation scale (RESE) were used. Results: The affective components, in terms of empathic concern and emotional self-efficacy, had a greater predictive effect of prosocial behaviors. The findings show that emotional factors, especially in emergencies, obedience or complacency, are related to the prosocial expressions presented by adolescents detached from armed groups that were part of this study.
