Thus, it is concluded that in those public goods own elements concur, both of the public goods, as well as the assets. Based on this consideration of housing, a blurring between these two traditional categories is observed, within the framework of a social State, which leads to the management of public assets as an element for the fulfillment of social policies, and to propose changes in the procedures of alienation of goods, avoiding recent examples of doubtful efficacy for the general interest.Partiendo de la tradicional distinción de los bienes públicos entre bienes demaniales, destinados a usos y servicios públicos, y los patrimoniales, destinados a su rentabilización económica, se analizan sus características y formas de uso, conforme a la normativa patrimonial vigente, para, a continuación, centrarnos en una propiedad pública: la vivienda social, haciendo un análisis histórico de su configuración jurídica, e intentando identificar, a falta de una previsión legal expresa, los rasgos que la incluirían en una u otra categoría de bienes. Así, se llega a la conclusión de que en esos bienes públicos concurren elementos propios, tanto de los bienes demaniales, como de los patrimoniales.
