These problems, which had taken place in Rome, have the highest importance nowadays, both at a national and international level, with regard to the new fronts presented around the use of e-voting, being these problems analyzed in the final part of the articleEl presente artículo estudia la protección dispensada en el ordenamiento jurídico romano a la forma de expresión del voto, como ejemplo de una búsqueda constante por perfeccionar los mecanismos electorales para garantizar el secreto de sufragio y la libertad del ciudadano (en aquellas etapas, como es lógico, en las que éste era llamado a participar de alguna manera en las decisiones de la comunidad política).
