This paper proposes a reflection on the theme of violence against women, based on gender, a social
phenomenon that has received a category of public health problem. Its content is based on studies on
tolerance to violence against women, the myths that perpetuate it, the kinds of violence she can be victim
of, just because it is a woman, and the different damages that a woman , caused by the different kinds of
violence that can be inflicted. It also proposes a reflection on the causes that prevent a violent woman
from putting physical and emotional distances with the victimizer and the obligations of the family, society
and the State (through the various administrative authorities involved in the prevention and care of these
cases), in light of Law 1257 of 2008, as co-responsible for the prevention of such type of violence and the
integral restoration of a woman victim of aggression. |
