Summary: Abstract This article attempts to analyze the challenges that legal education faces vis a vis the current social transformations. In this regard the article tackles the following questions: To what extent does legal education search for social change or reproduction of social inequalities in a context such as the Colombian case? This article answers to these questions from an interdisciplinary perspective based on previous research conducted by the author and a literature review on sociology on education, law and society studies and critical legal theory. The explanation of the argument is broken into three main parts.
