This work analyses its scope and the specialities of the main elements of the rural lease contract, which exists when the use of some lands and exploitation units is transferred in order to give them an agricultural, animal and forestry exploitation, in exchange for a rent.La Ley 49/2003, de 26 de noviembre, de Arrendamientos Rústicos, modificada mediante la Ley 26/2005, de 30 de noviembre, es la norma estatal por la que quedan regulados los contratos de arrendamiento rústico y aparcería en aquellas comunidades autónomas que carecen de un Derecho civil propio escrito en la materia.
