Our interest is stopped to analyze what are the areas in which this group is an adequate level of social protection with eco State proclaimed in Article 1 of the Constitution, and therefore much more satisfactory guarantor of the rights protected by the social actions legally recognized. From this methodological approach, we provide an overview of the different areas that can be projected on the social protection of IDPs starting with the very provision of educational services; but also identify more sensitive to social protection areas, some of which are specific to the POI Universities and others are common to all public employees. In addition, systematic exposure allows the system to show the difficulties of sources in this area, characterized by a specific regulatory framework, notwithstanding the variety of positions that university autonomy allows mainly by the regulatory power granted to each university.La condición de profesor al servicio de la Universidad conlleva una serie de singularidades en el empleo y salud laboral, que se ven directamente afectadas por la autonomía universitaria constitucionalmente reconocida Nuestro interés se detiene en analizar cuáles son los ámbitos en que este colectivo encuentra un adecuado nivel de protección respetuoso con el Estado social que proclama el artículo 1 de la Constitución, y por tanto garante de actuaciones mucho más satisfactorias que las amparadas por los derechos sociales legalmente reconocidos. Desde este enfoque metodológico, ofrecemos una visión general de los distintos ámbitos sobre los que puede proyectarse la protección social del PDI comenzando por la propia prestación del servicio educativo; aunque también identificamos ámbitos más sensibles a la protección social, algunos de los cuales son específicos para el PDI de las Universidades y otros son comunes a todos los empleados públicos.
