Due to geopolitical and technical issues, the Southern Corridor has too many uncertainties, unless Iran becomes the main supplier of it, but the international sanction against Iran, including the Europeans, makes it impossible any energy corporations, thereby, affecting the entire European's energy strategy.La Política Energética Europea tiene como principal desafío garantizar el aprovisionamiento de energía del exterior en un contexto internacional que cada vez se torna más competitivo. De entre todas las iniciativas que la componen, el desarrollo de nuevas infraestructuras que ayuden a diversificar el aprovisionamiento energético se ha convertido en una de las principales actuaciones perseguidas por la Unión Europea. Debido a cuestiones geopolíticas y técnicas, el Corredor Meridional presenta demasiadas incertidumbres a no ser que incluya a Irán como fuente de suministro.
