Our lawmakers still do not addressthe issue, leaving the judges the task of creating, according to his analysis of the general principles of law andthe rights of a person. Who must determine the identity of the individual concerned? Are the parents themselves who hold the custody and care, medical experts in thetreatment of these diseases, or is the individual concerned who should decide their own sexual identity?Más allá de las implicaciones morales que supone un estado de ambigüedad sexual y de los procedimientosmédicos que puedan realizarse en estas circunstancias, encontramos el tratamiento jurídico dado a estos individuosque termina por conferirles identidad como persona colombiana, por encima de su propia voluntad ode las decisiones que sobre dicha condición ellos mismos tomen.
