Summary: The cultivation of the African Palm illustrates one of the clearest worldwide tendencies of change in commerce: Firstly, the priority is not that of food production while food is not produced and secondly the peasant, a cultural, social and traditional subject in the production process, is completely displaced (Molano, 2012). In the case of Colombia, it is of particular interest to the extent that in the cultivation of the African Palm, it has generated a transformation of agricultural land ownership which has resulted in a greater concentration of large extensions of fertile lands and that has been characterized by a build up of economic violence in which armed groups and economic actors participate. (Molano, 2012). The article analyzes the influence of African Palm cultivation in the forced displacement of the population in the municipality of Morales in the south of the department of Bolivar. The computed model reveals that in general terms the hectares of cultivated palms do not explain the fact that a municipality whether or not the municipality has been the agent of expulsion of the population in the form of the displaced, since there is no relationship between the number of cultivated hectares and the number of displaced persons. This notwithstanding, a relationship has been found upon performing a marginal analysis, in a particular case, such as that of the municipality of Morales, in the department of Bolivar. Thus, despite the cultivation of the African Palm not exerting a direct influence in the forced displacement of the whole of the zone studied, it can be understood as one of the components of the conflict in a particular municipality.
