Summary: The development of human activity in space has been oversized in recent decades. This material improvement has involved itself a development of the theory of space law which seeks to resolve legal questions arising from space activities. Within this development is specially underlined the creation of the concept launching state and its relation to the liability of the different international actors involved in space activity. This concept, together with space law, has evolved since the beginning of space activity and today it continues its development, mainly in the United Nations instruments.
