Summary: This paper presents the progress of the investigation called �prefaced conflict, a scenario of systematic violations of human rights�. This proposal is made within the framework of ethnography and it is proposed as an object of study an extreme situation: the forced disappearance of persons by paramilitary groups in a context of protracted conflict. To have taken the same case studies on rural events in the department of Antioquia. Adding about 15 interviews with relatives of the disappeared that constitute the body of the empirical analysis in this paper is supported. Which were contacted through two major organizations that bring together families of missing persons from different parts of the department of Antioquia, which was chosen for a period between 1882 and 2002, under the parameters, the stage and the truth of the research variables.
