The study used primary sources by going to court offices and secondary sources in the literature on the subject, returning to the origin of these actions, then going by a comparison between them and concluding that they are effective but compliance with court orders is limited.Habiéndonos preguntado si las acciones populares y de grupo son eficaces para la defensa del ambiente en el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga, se realizó un estudio de los fallos entre 2005 y 2009. En la investigación logramos determinar los derechos vulnerados, el porcentaje de sentencias favorables y su verificación, cumpliendo con los objetivos.
