Accordingly, we seek to denote the inexorable link between the establishment of real democracy and the enshrinement of values related to equality and freedom, tracing a brief historical parallel with the North American social organization and taking as its premise the fact that democracy does not end in a kind of model or form of government, but rather, is a real modus vivendi collective ideal of a social relationship to be searched, so constant and enduring, civil societies around the world. There is no intention to analyze in depth the characters of democracy or set, conclusively, the means for its establishment, it is only to expose, in a manifesto, a feeling of reverence for the democratic ideal, being the only one capable to build peace, social development and fulfillment of human beings, and for this very reason, the most exalted of the achievements afforded by reason.O artigo em tela desenvolve-se a partir de um pensamento do filósofo francês Jacques Maritain, no qual referido autor aponta a democracia como sendo a mais alta realização do homem sobre a terra.
