Summary: The paper is attempting to show how is articulated the principle of participatory parity in the Nancy Fraser’s justice approach. First, I divide her approach in three different times according to the way in which she articulates the participatory principle. Second, I explain how the three times are related with the displacement and the consequent framing of her current triple analytical perspective of justice. Third, I assume that Fraser’s principle of participatory parity is rooted in the dynamics of public sphere and the contradictions of current complex societies. For this reason, I propose thinking about that principle according to the matter of affirmative actions, specifically the issue of gender quotas. I am arguing that if Nancy Fraser’s approach requires resolve the situation of injustice –in a economical, cultural and or political issue– as a result of the public and political deliberation, she should accept affirmative actions. If we accept that affirmative actions recognize the situated character of the agent, e.g. the difference, so this is the departure point to resolve differences in the realm of justice for everybody. Finally, the gender quota is a tool to go ahead in the path of parity; it is one of the keys to an informed and autonomous public opinion as a condition to transform the basis of social inequalities in a democracy
