To understand the concept of legal pluralism scientific study is complemented by a case study: the Wayúu people of northern Colombia. To end a comparison with the Colombian justice (criminal) and restorative justice �compositio�.Es una investigación interdisciplinaria nutrida de fuentes secundarias y primarias (estudios de caso, entrevistas, historias de vida) sobre el pluralismo jurídico y cultural en Colombia. Se realiza un acercamiento al principio de diversidad étnica y cultural con tres elementos dinamizadores como son la tolerancia activa, la preexistencia del pluralismo jurídico y cultural y el reto del multiculturalismo. Para entender el concepto del pluralismo jurídico el estudio científico se complementa con un estudio de caso: el pueblo wayúu, del norte de Colombia.
