This essay aims to discus different legal aspects that surround the regulation on new technologies in the EU. It describes and analyses norms, bodies and conflicts between them. Special attention is paid to the European Patent System and the Marketing Authorization (ma).La regulación de nuevas tecnologías, especialmente biotecnología y la creación de nuevos medicamentos es un tema difícil en la Unión Europea (UE). Existen diferentes intereses que generan conflicto entre ellos: la protección del mercado común europeo y la salud pública, prevención y tratamiento de enfermedades, el mejoramiento de la competitividad y un futuro sostenible para la Unión Europea, e inclusive la soberanía de los Estados miembros. Este artículo se dirige a discutir diferentes aspectos legales que rodean la regulación en nuevas tecnologías en la UE. Describe y analiza normas y organizaciones, y conflictos que surgen entre ellos.
