Summary: |
This chronicle of European legislation presents four specific areas of the legislative
activity, developed by different European institutions during the second semester of
2009. Firstly, for the importance into the internal configuration of the European institutions,
this paper analyzes the regulations regarding the legal status of the Deputies
of the European Parliament, beginning with the Decision of the Table of the
European Parliament, which states measures to implement the Status of the European
Parliamentary Deputies. Secondly, it explains the contents of the Reports of
the European Community concerning gender equality for this year, with which it
makes a very correct quantitative and qualitative analysis, of the causes of inequality
between men and women in social, working and political aspects of life. Thirdly,
it analyzes the Councils Recommendation for 2009 concerning the General
Orientations of the Economic Policy Member States and the Community and the implementation
of the policy of employment of the Member States. Finally, it analyzed
the Opinion of the European Economic and Social Committee that has criticized the
proposal of the Directive of The European Parliament and the Council concerning
the application of the equality of treatment between men and women that work autonomously,
for its limited importance. |
