AB  - The authors address the legal nature of the administrative authorities in
Chile to regulate aviation activity. On the one hand the Civil Aeronautical
Board whose mission is geared to senior management of commercial aviation in the country, and on the other, the Directorate General of
Civil
Aviation, whose responsibilities are focused on the protection of
air safety in aviation civil as a whole and the management and administration
of public aerodromes and support services for air navigation. Also,
there is an analysis of the special characteristics of the legal figure of the
Commander of the Aircraft.
