Summary: Procedures of prosthetic breast implants, either as cosmetic plastic surgery or for reconstructive purposes, can cause damage to patients; because of defective prosthetic implants, damages that generate harm may arise to users of health services, which must be compensated by the providers of these services or the state agency responsible for inspecting, monitoring and controlling. To protect their assets, the perpetrators legitimized by passive and potential damage generators can transfer the inherent risks of their activities to an insurance company.
