Laburpena: This article examines the arbitrations advantages as an alternative dispute resolution method in the intellectual propertys field. We analyze the general arbitration proceeding under the 60/2003 Arbitration Act and the Intellectual Property Commissions special arbitration stated in article 158 of the Intellectual Property Act. Finally we conclude with the last tendencies leaded by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center which represents the most emblematic entity in the alternative dispute resolution system related to international intellectual property disputes.
