Laburpena: The aim of this paper is to present the most important features that define the group of EU foreigners, both in terms of their sociodemographic profile, as their labor market and the possibilities it offers as a source of employment. For it is used to emphasize the importance of EU citizens based in Spain, Andalusia and Almería, they present significant differences ivith respect to other foreigners. In all, the main conclusions drawn after studying the group of EU foreigners suggest a greater gender balance, a lower rate of participation in the labor market, an important core of self-employed and some concentration in small towns. In addition, analysis of the dependency ratio of the countries comprising the EU [27] encourages thinking about the opportunity offered by the residential tourism of the third age, especially in Europe.
