Laburpena: The exercise of the right of access to public information in Mexico has faced a difficult road despite the principles granted in the federal Constitution. Tabasco is no stranger to this path, having been the last federal entities in issuing his Transparency and Access to Public Information Act. In this article the authors analyze a case study from Tabasco, and the procedure followed in an appeal promoted in the local institute of transparency and access to public information. The authors conclude that in such cases where a constitutional dispute occurred, the right to access to information is set back and the replay to the access to information request is delayed.
