AB  - This work deals with the concept of negotiation in International Relations. Based on the review of two classic works on negotation, the author posits that we are not likely to find a comprehensive theory of negotiation due to the complexity and particularities that this process entails. According to the author, negotiation should be seen as a process that contains certain stages but that it is shaped and determined by the realities of each specific situation.
