Based on the review of two classic works on negotation, the author posits that we are not likely to find a comprehensive theory of negotiation due to the complexity and particularities that this process entails. According to the author, negotiation should be seen as a process that contains certain stages but that it is shaped and determined by the realities of each specific situation.
