AB  - This article studies the indebtedness of the former Soviet Union in the 1980's. To that effect, it reviews the various indicators required, on the one hand, to realise the importance of the foreign debt to the country at that time, and on the other, to understand the growing mistrust of creditors towards an economy which up to that time was considered very solvent.
