AB  - The universality of common moral values as well as common legal principles, giving rise to a step by step development of a basic legal order for all mankind, may very well be considered as a dangerously Euro-centric, presumptuous utopia. However, such a development seems to be the inevitable consequence of what is called globalisation. Therefore, rethinking the relationship between universality and cultural/historical particularity becomes all the more necessary.
