Laburpena: The urban systems have been deeply affected by the processes of productive restructuring and economicglobalization, which begun almost three decades ago. In a first stage, an apparent rupture was observed in the process of accumulative growth that the urban masses had experienced from the Industrial Revolution, and concepts like those of relief of city crowing and counter-urbanization were incorporated to the usual speech. But the recovery experienced by the large cities from the second half of the eighties, revealed that these interpretations were permature, the role of urban agglomeration being again revauled. In this general context of reference, the analysis of the urban system of Andalusia gains a new interest, being this the objetive proposed in these pages.
