Laburpena: It has been compared, for the period 1988-1995 in the Basque Country and Catalonia, a series of indicators of the industrial sectors most penetrated by foreign capital with the rest of sectors. Results are coincident in both regions about the more concentrated, best paid, more export oriented and productive character of these sectors. However, whereas in the Basque Country the unity labour costs and the import propensity is lower, and no differences are observed about technological behaviour, in Catalonia these may be highlighted because of their more investment effort and their capacity to sustain a higher level of employment.
